FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about invisible protection for marble and natural stone.
About the protection
What exactly is your surface protection?+
A high-performance, transparent protective film with its own adhesive system, applied precisely to marble and natural stone. It is invisible to the eye and imperceptible to the touch.
Does the protection alter or penetrate the stone?+
No. Unlike impregnations or sealers, the film does not penetrate the stone. The stone remains exactly as it was.
Can the protection be removed?+
Yes, at any time. The film can be removed and the surface is exactly as before.
Which stones can be protected?+
Especially porous natural stones such as marble, onyx and travertine, which are highly sensitive to etching and stains.
What does it protect against?+
Stains, etching from acidic substances, scratches and impacts.
Can existing stains be covered?+
Thanks to a specially developed surface preparation method, existing stains become virtually invisible to the eye – without treating the stone itself.
Can I choose the finish?+
Yes. Either a refined high-gloss finish or an elegant satin-matte look.
Durability & care
How long does the protection last?+
Up to 5 years indoors and up to 3 years outdoors. The hard-coat film does not discolor, crack or peel, even under heavy use. The stated durability is a subjective assessment and depends on the load on the surface (traffic). The surface protection is not suitable for walkable surfaces.
How are protected surfaces cleaned?+
With a soft microfiber cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. No special products are required.
Is it hygienic?+
Yes. The protected surface ensures a high level of hygiene and simplifies daily cleaning.
Installation & operations
Does the installation disturb guests or operations?+
No. The process is dust-free and silent and can take place at any time during ongoing operations.
How long until a surface can be used again?+
A complete washbasin or bathtub surround is usually fully usable again after about 2 hours.
Are the materials safe?+
Yes. They are free of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and safe for people and the environment.
Can you work on cruise ships and yachts?+
Yes. Clients include hotels, cruise ships and yachts.
Where do you operate?+
Across Europe. Based in Pieve Ligure, Italy.
Getting started
How does a project start?+
Every project starts differently. Wherever logistics allow, we inspect the site in person and, if useful, offer a sample surface.
What does it cost?+
We do not give a flat-rate cost estimate. Every project is different and is assessed individually.
